If ‘Tolerance’ was a subject taught in schools to children during their formative years they would grow to understand each other better and know that religion, tribe and gender are not reasons to fight.
This is the message spurring many Nigerians to take a stand against hate speech on social media, and what started as an idea for the guys at Dolorem & Ipsum, an advertising agency in Nigeria, led by Exec.
Creative Director Alexander Orakwusi, formerly of Yellow Brick Road, has become a movement as Nigerians continue to pledge their support for #ToleranceClass.

A campaign that aims to curb tribal, gender and religious hate speech on Nigerian blogs and social media, #ToleranceClass is on a mission to reduce the increasingly hostile and bigoted comments and activities that not only fuel the tensions in the country, so that the fight will never end, but also portray Nigeria and Nigerians in a bad light to the rest of the world.
